Scientists at Medical University of Bialystok report research in necrotizing fasciitis

2010 JUL 27 -- A report, 'Multifocal necrotizing fasciitis - case report,' is newly published data in Advances In Medical Sciences. "Necrotizing fasciitis (NF) is a rare, life-threatening soft-tissue infection, characterized by rapidly spreading inflammation, with secondary necrosis of the fascia and surrounding tissues. It is mostly caused by group A beta-haemolytic streptococci or multibacterial," researchers in Bialystok, Poland report.
