2012 MAY 9 -- A new study, "Adventure of recombinant human activated protein C in sepsis and new treatment hopes on the horizon," is now available. According to the authors of recent research published in the journal Recent Patents On Inflammation & Allergy Drug Discovery, "Sepsis continues to be a very important cause of morbidity and mortality despite advances in modern medicine. It is the cause of mortality in approximately 28-50% of the patients, with the risk increasing particularly in patients with multiple organ dysfunctions."
