Researchers from University of Notre Dame Detail Findings in Bone Research

2012 MAY 11 -- Research findings, "The effect of holding time on nanoindentation measurements of creep in bone," are discussed in a new report. According to the authors of recent research from Notre Dame, Indiana, "Viscoelasticity may affect both the elastic and fracture characteristics of bone. Nanoindentation can be used to measure the creep behavior of bone by fitting the depth vs. time data at constant load to rheological models."
