CO2 Solution Inc. Presents at First Federal Conservative BioCaucus Meeting
2009 JUN 16 - (NewsRx.com) -- CO2 Solution Inc. is pleased to announce that its President and CEO, Glenn Kelly, participated in the first-ever meeting of the newly-formed Federal BioCaucus Committee on Parliament Hill. CO2 Solution was honored to be one of only two companies invited to present to parliamentary Members of The BioCaucus. "It was an excellent opportunity to present to the first-ever meeting of the Federal BioCaucus," said Kelly. "I was able to share with Members of Parliament information about CO2 Solution, its innovative made-in-Canada biomimetic carbon capture technology and its immense environmental and economic benefits." The BioCaucus Committee was formed to promote new economic opportunities and benefits of biotechnology in Canada, with its Members including the Hon. Tony Clement and Rick Dykstra MP St. Catharines. "Biotechnology companies are emerging as engines of growth from coast-to-coast and the founding membership of the BioCaucus is a reflection of that. Biotechnology is the future of new jobs in clean energy, agriculture, food sciences, and medicine," said Dykstra. "We now hope to become the focal point for biotechnology on Parliament Hill and about how we take Canada to the next stage of the knowledge economy." The committee will focus on promoting the health, social and environmental benefits of biotechnology for Canadians. It will also advocate for the development of Canadian-based research and educational facilities to attract new investment to become a leader in the development of new biotechnologies. The formation of the BioCaucus Committee, noted Kelly, is a clear indication that the Government of Canada is forward-thinking in its approach to economic recovery and long-term environmental sustainability. "The introduction of the BioCaucus Committee is very encouraging," said Kelly. "CO2 Solution looks forward to continuing to work with this committee and the Federal Government to bring bio-technological climate change solutions to the forefront of Canada's economy."
