Findings from Medical University of Bialystok broaden understanding of HIV/AIDS immunology

Current study results from the report, 'Prevalence of cryoglobulinaemia in hepatitis C virus- and hepatitis C virus/human immunodeficiency virus-infected individuals: implications for renal function,' have been published. "Hepatitis C virus (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) demonstrate an affinity towards lymphocytes B, stimulating the production of cryoglobulins. Deposits of cryoprecipitates contribute to glomerulonephritis and renal failure," researchers in Bialystok, Poland report.
