Most AIDS Patients with TB and Low CD4 Have Atypical Radiographs

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) should be suspected in AIDS patients presenting with CD4 counts less than 0.20x109 cells/L and radiographic findings atypical for reactivation TB, according to a report from the University of Pennsylvania.

Pulmonary infection and tumor in the AIDS population have a variable clinical and radiographic presentation.
