The number of people with tuberculosis who also have AIDS in Chicago has doubled in four years, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said in its Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
In 1989, 8 percent of the 685 patients with TB also had AIDS, compared to 15 percent of 799 cases in 1993, the CDC said.
