Co- and Counter-Receptors Pivotal in Cellular Response

There appears to be a pivotal role for adhesion co- and counter-receptors in influencing lymphocyte signalling and cellular response to recall antigens in HIV-1 infected persons, according to a report from the United Kingdom.

The results of this study may have implications for immunotherapy and an eventual vaccine against AIDS.
