"Hepatobiliary Disorders In HIV Patients."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 7th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, held March 26-30, 1995, in Vienna, Austria, "We evaluate hepatobiliary complications and serological markers in viral hepatitis in a prospective study since February 1992. Results: Patients 116 (56 AIDS - CDC 1993). Average follow-up 282.6 days (range 60-930). Sex: M 87/F 29. Average age 32 (range 21-69). Risk group: IVDU 77, Homosexual 27, Heterosexual 11, Transfusion 1. We obtained the following results: (I) Hepatobiliary complications 102 in 86 patients (86/116: 74%).
