"Leishmania on Kaposi's Sarcoma Lesions."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the Eighth Mediterranean Symposium on HIV Infection, held March 10-11, 1995, in Toulon, France, "A 29-year-old homosexual male consulted because of fever, diarrhea and general malaise. HIV infection had been diagnosed three years earlier and he had subsequently suffered from P. carinii, visceral Leishmaniasis, Herpes infection, oral Candidiasis and CMV retinitis. On physical examination he appeared cachectic and hyperpigmented. Blood pressure was 90/40 mmHg and temperature 38.5(degree)C. A mild splenomegaly was felt.
