"Treatment With Alpha Interferon 2bR of 270 IVDA Affected By CAH HCV Positive."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 19th International Congress of Chemotherapy, held July 16-21, 1995, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, "Objective: To compare the response to Alpha-interferon 2b recombinant in HIV+ and HIV- i.v.d.a. with Chronic Active Hepatitis HCVab positive. Methods: We retrospectively examined the case records of 270 i.v.d.a. with CAH HCVAB positive (histological report after ecoguided biopsy). 96 were HIV positive also. All the patents received alpha IFN therapy (3 MU tiw) for 6 months. All HIV+ belonged to group II-III CDC. CD4 count was <400/ml in 8% of cases before and 72% during...
