"InterLink System Demonstrates Substantial Decrease in Blood and Body Fluid Exposures."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the Frontline Healthcare Workers: National Conference on Prevention of Sharps Injuries and Bloodborne Exposures, held August 14-16, 1995, in Atlanta, Georgia, "Blood and body fluid exposures (BBFE) are one of the leading causes of occupational injury in a hospital setting. The potential effects to the health care workers are numerous, including: anxiety; human immunodeficiency virus; hepatitis B; hepatitis C; and other bloodborne infections.
