Methods: HIV specific B- and T-cell immunity was determined in PBMC obtained from HIV seronegative Ethiopian immigrants, by generation of HIV specific antibodies after polyclonal B-cell activation (PBAT), and by IL2 generation following exposure to HIV T-cell epitopes, respectively.
