CDC Says Black/Hispanic Gays in US at Greater HIV Risk

African American and Hispanic gay and bisexual men in the United States continue to have a greater risk of contracting HIV than their white counterparts, according to a report from the University of Washington and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The CDC report found that this increased risk could not be attributed to injecting drug use, age or geographic region.

The report was presented at the 11th meeting of the International Society for Sexually Transmitted Disease Research, held August 27-30, 1995 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
