"Voluntary HIV Testing in TB Patients in Malawi, 1994."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the European Conference on Tropical Medicine, held October 22-26, 1995, in Hamburg, Germany, "Methods: Case notes of adult TB patients consecutively registered for treatment with the District TB Officer during 1994 were analyzed. Clinical features and HIV serostatus were documented. Results were entered and analyzed using EPI INFO. Results: 1095 patients, 626 male and 469 female, were registered at the District Health Office TB section during 1994 with a mean age of 32 (±11) years.
