New Drug Reduces Outbreaks of Genital Herpes

Reactivation of genital herpes is a major cause of morbidity in people with HIV infection. Moreover, infected individuals can spread the disease to others by shedding infectious virus whether or not signs of symptoms of genital herpes are present.
