According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 11th International Conference on AIDS, held July 7-12, 1996, in Vancouver, British Columbia, "Objective: To develop a polyvalent peptide-based HIV vaccine capable of inducing broad immune responses in HIV infected and uninfected individuals. Methods: Guinea pigs and HIV infected individuals were immunized with PPD-conjugated to a mixture of six 13 a.a. peptides (PND-V3-hexapeptide) with sequences corresponding to the PND of 6 HIV isolates (MN, RF, NY-5, CDC-42, ARV-2 and THAI-1).
