Forum Will Discuss Use of Plasma RNA in Clinical Trials

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration will hold a meeting to promote informal discussion between the agency and the concerned community regarding issues related to an upcoming public discussion with the Antiviral Drug Product Advisory Committee on the use of plasma HIV-RNA in clinical trials.

The advisory committee meeting tentatively is scheduled for July, 1997. A meeting was held May 16 to ensure that the community perspective will be effectively represented at the upcoming advisory committee meeting.
