Two New CDC Draft Documents Address Latest HIV Treatment

The past year has brought dramatic advances in both basic and clinical research on AIDS. It is now critical to translate these scientific advances into information that practitioners and their patients can use in making decisions about using the new therapies and monitoring tools to achieve the greatest, most durable clinical benefits, said the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Together, the following two new CDC publications summarize new data and provide both the scientific basis and specific guidelines for the treatment of HIV infected persons.
