Horror Mounts While World Waits for AIDS Cure

Fourteen years after the horror began, scientists say they still are not sure when - if ever - the AIDS nightmare will go away.

In the meantime, millions more lives will be shattered, said medical experts who met recently in Manila, Philippines.

Efforts to find a cure to one of the world's greatest epidemics have so far failed, but the work must go on, the experts said.
