Rights to New Therapeutic AIDS Vaccine Acquired

ID Biomedical Corp., Vancouver, British Columbia, announced that its vaccine subsidiary, ID Vaccine Corp., has secured the worldwide rights to a new therapeutic vaccine being developed for AIDS.

The vaccine aims to prevent or delay the onset of AIDS in people infected with HIV. The use of the vaccine to prevent HIV infection is also being investigated.

The vaccine was developed by Dr. Arye Rubinstein, MD, Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University (AECOM) in New York, New York.
