DNA Probe Instrument System Manufactures

Colorado MEDtech, Inc., Boulder, Colorado, announced that Rela, Inc., signed a manufacturing agreement with Gen-Probe Inc.

Under the terms of the five-year agreement, Rela manufactures an automated high-throughput DNA probe instrument system, known as Tigris, for blood screening and diagnostic applications.

Rela and Gen-Probe are completing the development of the Tigris system under a separate contract announced previously. Commercial production of the Tigris system is anticipated to begin during 1999.
