"Hypogonadism Is Uncommon in Men with AIDS-Associated Wasting."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 38th Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, held September 24-27, 1998, in San Diego, California, "Hypogonadism is reported to be common in men with advanced AIDS (Poretsky L. et al. Metabolism, 1995 44:946-53) and has been cited as a significant contributor to the AIDS-wasting syndrome (Grinspoon S. et al. JCEM, 1996 81:4051-8).
