According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the European Congress of Radiology, held March 7-12, 1999, in Vienna, Austria, "Purpose: To determine the predictive value of single voxel MR spectroscopy (MRS) in the diagnosis of cerebral masses in patients with AIDS. Methods and Materials: Patients with clinical AIDS who had documented cerebral mass lesions were prospectively studied on a 1.5 T Signa Horizon MR (GE systems) using the single voxel technique (8 cubic cm voxel Probe/SV).
