Grant Received To Develop TB Vaccine Using CD1 Technology

Aquila Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., Framingham, Massachusetts, announced that it has been awarded a grant from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) to support the development of vaccines for tuberculosis (TB) based on the CD1 immune enhancement technology. The grant was awarded to Aquila under Phase II of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program of the U.S. National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) branch of NIH, and provides $870,000 over a two year period.
