Largest Disease Management Contract in U.S. Signed



August 23rd, 1999

The state of Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) has contracted with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), Los Angeles, California, to create a disease management program for 7,500 Medicaid recipients who are afflicted with HIV.

The program, called Positive Healthcare/Florida, begins gradual operations in September 1999 and, when fully operational, is the largest HIV/AIDS disease management program in the U.S.
