Simulator Enables Doctors To Experience the Anemia of HIV/AIDS

For the first time, University of California at Los Angeles medical professionals and caregivers will experience for themselves the debilitating fatigue caused by HIV related anemia, which occurs in up to 50 percent of patients who develop AIDS.

"In My Steps," a virtual reality technology that simulates the exhaustion and frustration associated with HIV related anemia, was featured at UCLA Medical Center as part of a national tour.
