Center Awarded $5.3 Million Grant From CDC for Tuberculosis Research

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) awarded a $5.3 million, 10-year grant to fund a site of the Tuberculosis Trials Consortium at the University of North Texas (UNT) Health Science Center at Fort Worth, Texas.

The research site will be under the direction of principal investigator Stephen Weis, DO. Award announcements were made at the CDC Tuberculosis Trials Consortium meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.

The grant will be a joint collaboration of the UNT Health Science Center, Tarrant County Public Health Department, and Texas Department of Health.
