"Because occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens can lead to morbidity and occasional mortality, we studied 1) the prevalence of HCW exposure to bloodborne pathogens from patient sources, 2) HCW tolerance of postexposure prophylaxis (PEP), and 3) the occurrence of HCW seroconversion," reported Connie Steed and Margaret Baker, Greenville Memorial Medical Center, USA.
