Implants were placed in 39 nines of 26 patients. After an average follow-up time of 3.7 months, C. Muccioli and colleagues, Sao Paulo, Brazil, found that all the eyes had been healed of retinitis. This was determined by clinical improvement as evaluated by indirect binocular ophthalmoscopy and retinography.
