Newspaper Report: Montaigner Reminds Workshop Attendees of Oral Risk

At an August 29, 2000, AIDS workshop held in Kampala, Uganda, Dr. Luc Montaigner told attendees that HIV can be transmitted by deep kissing.

Montaigner is president of the World Foundation for Aids Research and Prevention; director of research at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientific (CNRS) in Paris, France; and head of the Viral Onchology Unit at the Virology department at Institut Pasteur. He is credited as co-discoverer of HIV as the cause of AIDS.
