Phase II Pro 542 Trial Begins in HIV Infected Children

Progenics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (PGNX), Tarrytown, New York, announced that treatment of HIV positive pediatric patients had begun in a Phase II study of PRO 542, the company's most clinically advanced HIV inhibitor.

The company also announced the publication of a scientific article describing the results of a previous Phase I/II clinical trial of PRO 542 in HIV infected children, including those resistant to available antiviral therapies. The article appeared in the December 2000 issue of The Journal of Infectious Diseases (vol. 182, no. 6).
