Comparing Lamivudine To Emtricitabine Influenced By Cell Line

New research comparing the in vitro antiviral potency of EpivirR (lamivudine or 3TC, GlaxoSmithKline) and emtricitabine or FTC contradicts earlier study results and found no significant difference between the two drugs when potency is compared in primary cell lines.

The new study was presented July 9, 2001, at the International AIDS Society (IAS) conference.
