"Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome-related non-Hodgkin lymphomas (AIDS-NHL) are thought to arise because of loss of Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV)-specific cellular immunity," according to Debbie van Baarle and colleagues at the Central Laboratory of the Netherlands Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service, the University of Amsterdam, Rotterdam University Hospital and the United Kingdom's Institute of Molecular Medicine.
