Streptococcus Bacteria Does Not Affect Macrophage Function

"Streptococcus pneumoniae is a major cause of pneumonia, bacteremia, and meningitis, especially among adults infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)," explained Dr. Stephen Gordon and colleagues at the University of Malawi and Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, Malawi, and the Universities of Liverpool and Sheffield in the United Kingdom.
