Oncosis signs cell-treatment research agreement with University of Texas

Oncosis, Inc., announced that it has established a sponsored research agreement with James F. Leary, PhD, and the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas.

The agreement will feature development of the company's patented Photosis technology platform, an automated, laser-based cell treatment system for clinical and genomic applications. The goal of the joint research effort is ultra-high-speed isolation of adult human stem-progenitor cell subsets for gene expression microarray analyses, and subsequent study of the effects of the HIV virus on stem-progenitor cells in the progression of AIDS.

The agreement runs through August 2004...
