The agreement will feature development of the company's patented Photosis technology platform, an automated, laser-based cell treatment system for clinical and genomic applications. The goal of the joint research effort is ultra-high-speed isolation of adult human stem-progenitor cell subsets for gene expression microarray analyses, and subsequent study of the effects of the HIV virus on stem-progenitor cells in the progression of AIDS.
The agreement runs through August 2004...
