"Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) gene expression in astrocytes is restricted, resulting in a brief and limited synthesis of HIV-1 viral structural proteins," explained Dr. Jinliang Li and colleagues at the Indiana Univesity School of Medicine and the Walther Cancer Institute in Indianapolis, and Harvard Medical School in Boston.
