GlaxoSmithKline criticizes decision to hear pricing complaint on AIDS drug

Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline criticized a decision by a business regulator to allow an American health care group to challenge the pricing of its AIDS medicines in South Africa, saying it is considering an appeal.

The Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation and a number of individual HIV sufferers filed a complaint in January accusing the British drugs manufacturer of violating South African law by using its market dominance to keep prices up.
