Reveal Rapid HIV-1 Antibody Test No. 1 choice of U.S. hospitals, study shows

MedMira Inc. (MMIRF) announced that its Reveal Rapid HIV-1 Antibody Test is the number one choice of hospitals in the United States (where over 80% of HIV testing is conducted) according to a 2003 study recently released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as part of the Model Performance Evaluation Program (MPEP) HIV Rapid Testing Practices Survey.

The majority of rapid HIV testing is conducted in clinical laboratories using serum or plasma, derived from human blood, while less than 5% of rapid HIV testing is conducted in Public Health facilities.
