HIV diagnostic proves effective in Dominican Republic trials

Medical Services International (MSITF) announced that it has completed a series of testing of its VScan HIV 1&2 rapid test kit in the Dominican Republic, and the results showed 100% accuracy in terms of sensitivity and specificity.

The results will be important step in the approval process with other countries in the Caribbean. Medical Services has agreed to "live" testing under physician supervision as follow-up to this testing, and has been invited to attend meetings related to the distribution of the VScan HIV kits in the Dominican Republic.
