HIV+ women have more CVD risk factors related to abnormal fat distribution

A study by Massachusetts General Hospital researchers found that HIV positive women have more cardiovascular disease risk factors associated with the abnormal fat distribution that can occur in HIV/AIDS patients.

S.E. Dolan and colleagues "investigated cardiovascular disease risk indices in 100 consecutively recruited HIV infected women and 75 healthy female control subjects."
