Exposed HIV-1-resistant persons produce more IL-4 delta 2 than IL-4 molecules

According to a recent report published in the journal Virus Genes, "Resistance to HIV-1 infection in Europeans is associated with a mutation in the gene that codes for the CCR5 protein that is present in Th2 cells and serves as a coreceptor for HIV-1 R5 strain.
