Bone mineral density (BMD) "among human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected children" was compared with population norms. Predictors "of BMD in HIV-infected children" were determined. "Total body BMD was measured by dual energy x-ray absorptiometry in 37 HIV-infected children and nine sibling controls at baseline.
