Study 1: HIV-1/HTLV-II coinfection is associated with greater immunodeficiency.
According to a recently published report from Mexico, "The HTLV-II infection has been reported in patients with HIV infection as often in asymptomatic as those with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
