Study 1: Poly-L-lactic acid is a long-lasting and noninvasive treatment for HIV-associated facial lipoatrophy.
According to a recent study published in the International Journal of STD & AIDS, "Facial lipoatrophy can be associated with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), impacting severely on quality of life. Various treatments have been investigated, including poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA)."
