StatSure, Chembio agree to end litigation, enter agreement to market HIV barrel technology

StatSure Diagnostic Systems, Inc. (SSUR) and Chembio Diagnostics, Inc. (CEMI) announced that they have entered into a series of agreements that provide Inverness Medical Innovations, Inc. (IMA) with exclusive worldwide marketing rights to Chembio's Sure Check HIV 1/2 product for the detection of HIV 1 and 2 antibodies.

This rapid, point-of-care test, which is U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared, utilizes StatSure's patented barrel technology, designed to provide safe, accurate and integrated single-use, rapid HIV antibody screening, and to minimize exposure to infectious agents; it will be exclusively manufactured by Chembio for Inverness'...
