New findings from New York University, Division of Pediatric Surgery describe advances in HIV/AIDS in children

Current study results from the report, "An appendiceal leiomyoma in a child with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome," have been published. According to a study from the United States, "Children with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) are at an increased risk for lymphoproliferative and neoplastic disorders. Included among these are smooth muscle neoplasms such as leiomyomas and leiomyosarcomas."
