Reports outline HIV/AIDS epidemiology study results from Health Protection Agency Center for Infections

A report, "The changing epidemiology of diagnosed prevalent HIV infections in England: greatest impact on the London environs," is newly published data in Epidemiology and Infection. "Data from the 1997-2004 Surveys of Prevalent HIV Infections Diagnosed were analysed by three geographical areas of residence and treatment to describe the heterogeneous growth of the HIV epidemic in U.K. and provide projections to 2007. Between 1997 and 2004, the number of diagnosed HIV-infected adults resident in U.K. increased by 163% (14,223 to 37,459)," scientists in London, the United Kingdom report.
