Recent findings from University of Hawaii highlight research in HIV/AIDS clinical trial

New investigation results, "Metabolic effects of protease inhibitor-sparing antiretroviral regimens given as initial treatment of HIV-1 Infection (AIDS Clinical Trials Group Study A5095)," are detailed in a study published in Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes. In this recently published article, scientists in the United States conducted a study "To assess metabolic changes after initiation of protease inhibitor (PI)-sparing regimens in antiretroviral-naive patients.
