Researchers at Johns Hopkins University, Department of Epidemiology publish new data on HIV/AIDS therapy

Researchers detail in "Determining the effect of highly active antiretroviral therapy on changes in human immunodeficiency virus type 1 RNA viral load using a marginal structural left-censored mean model," new data in HIV/AIDS. According to a study from the United States, "Highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) dramatically reduces the load of circulating human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) by blocking replication at multiple points in the viral life cycle, but the long-term effect of HAART on viral load remains unclear.
